This policy describes the principles of Les Immeubles MW regarding the protection of personal information. This information is collected and disclosed in connection with the services and products provided by Les Immeubles MW. In all cases, the Agency faithfully protects individuals' privacy and the integrity of their personal information.
1. Definition
Personal information is any information about a natural person that allows them to be identified, other than their name, title, business address and phone number, and business email address. Home address, date of birth, social insurance number, and medical and financial information are considered personal information.

Les Immeubles MW is responsible for the personal information it manages, including personal information disclosed to third parties for processing and administrative purposes.
To this end, the Agency has adopted the privacy policy as well as policies and practices governing the handling of personal information, with the aim of overseeing the collection, use, disclosure, retention, and destruction of personal information.

Les Immeubles MW identifies the purposes for which it collects personal information before or at the time of collection, unless these purposes are obvious.

6. Limits to the Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
The Agency does not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the individual's consent or as required or permitted by law.
The Agency may be required to disclose personal information to third parties, such as suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, agents, insurers (such as the Fonds d’assurance responsabilité professionnelle du courtage immobilier du Québec (FARCIQ)), professionals, other regulators, or outside of Quebec.
The Agency may, without the individual’s consent, disclose personal information to a third party if the disclosure is necessary to perform a mandate or a service or business contract.
7. Retention of Personal Information
Les Immeubles MW retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the specified purposes or as required by law.
When the purposes for which the personal information was collected or used have been fulfilled, the Agency destroys it (by shredding through a professional company), subject to a legal retention period.
In this regard, the Agency’s professional obligations require it to retain its records for at least six (6) years after their final closure.
8. Accuracy of Personal Information
Les Immeubles MW makes reasonable efforts to ensure that individuals’ personal information is as accurate and complete as required for the purposes for which it is used.
A request for correction can only be considered if it is made in writing in accordance with the access to personal information procedure set out below.
9. Protection of Personal Information
Les Immeubles MW is committed to implementing and applying security measures to ensure the confidentiality of the information.
10. Transparency
Les Immeubles MW makes available to individuals information about its policies and practices regarding the management of personal information.

11. Right of Access, Withdrawal, and Correction
Subject to applicable laws, upon written request from an individual (or their authorized representative), Les Immeubles MW informs the individual whether it holds personal information about them.
An individual may withdraw their consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information at any time. This withdrawal is then recorded in writing.
Upon receipt of a written request to that effect, the Agency provides a summary of how the information has been or is being used, identifies the third parties to whom personal information has been disclosed, and the purposes for which the information was disclosed.
Les Immeubles MW may refuse an access or correction request in cases provided for by law.

Our website may contain sharing or posting options or links to third-party websites or platforms.
By using or activating these links or features, you leave the website and your browsing becomes subject to the terms of use and privacy policy of those third parties.
